A magical day of love

The romantic love story between Kerry-Ann and Nigel Atkinson that culminated in their January 2011 wedding celebration at The Mandeville Hotel began 7 years earlier in 2004. According to Kerry her interest in Nigel was immediately sparked the day his sister Nicole, who she worked with at the time, introduced her to him. The feeling was obviously mutual as Nigel declared that one day he would marry Kerry. The rest, as they say is history.

Armed with good advice from a friend, who told Kerry to think of her union with Nigel as “two friends having fun and enjoying each other”, the pair set about planning their big day. Despite the distance between them, Kerry in her native Trinidad and Nigel in Jamaica, they called the Mandeville Hotel and spoke to experienced Wedding Coordinator Sherredon Powell, who crafted a package especially for the couple. As fate would have it Kerry’s parents in Trinidad were also secretly shopping around and had also made contact with the Mandeville Hotel.

Following a heartfelt wedding ceremony at the Andrews Memorial United Church in Mandeville, the wedding party made its way to the Mandeville Hotel for a Breakfast reception in The Arches Restaurant where a fabulous spread of Jamaican fare awaited. The ambience created by the décor in the couple’s chosen colour scheme of baby blue and silver delighted Kerri and Nigel as well as their guests. According to the happy couple “The Mandeville Hotel made their day special and wonderful”.
